LATEST NEWS UPDATES

For weeks now, religious and political leaders in the Palestinian areas of Israel have been encouraging and inciting violence against Jewish Israelis.
The fruit of that incitement became evident Tuesday when two Palestinian men wielding knives, a meat cleaver and a gun invaded silent early morning prayers in an East Jerusalem synagogue.
By the time police arrived and stopped the carnage four worshippers were dead, and several others seriously wounded.
The attack was only the latest in a series of low-tech terror attacks by Palestinian Islamists against Jewish civilians. We have also seen ongoing riots on and around the Temple Mount as tensions over Jewish access to the site have escalated in recent weeks.
The rhetoric of leaders in Israel’s Palestinian community is clearly fueling these murderous attacks. Numerous officials in Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party have praised the terror activity in recent weeks.

For example, a few days ago the head of Fatah’s Media Department, speaking on the Palestinian Authority’s official television channel, praised three perpetrators of recent attacks, saying:
“Millions of martyrs (shahids) are marching to Jerusalem. They came out with their weapons, with their true belief that Jerusalem needs blood to purify itself of Jews.”
Last week, a representative of the PA Ministry of Religious Affairs called on Palestinians to “rush to Jerusalem and offer sacrifices and blood.”
In the midst of this raw hatred and violence, the government of Israel remains under intense pressure from the Obama Administration and other European nations to strike a “peace” deal with the Palestinian Authority.
Here at Jewish Voice, we encourage you to join us in praying for the safety and well-being of the people of Israel in this volatile and trying season.
We would also remind you that your gifts of support make you a part of countering the rising global tide of anti-Semitism; delivering medical, humanitarian, and spiritual aid to Lost Tribes communities; and sharing the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah with Jewish People the world over.
